Difficulty - Moderate
This hike has no urban steps, but we do hike up one very big hill. We’ll also be walking through some low-density areas with very few street trees, over and under bridges, and railroad tracks, and there will be a few intersections where we need to be highly attentive.
Sidewalks, Parking Lots, Pedestrian Paths, Grass
The hike features Norwood’s Presidential District, the city’s downtown and main business corridor, and the Norwood Mound.
Trailhead and Route: We will start promptly at 10:00 am in front of Norwood Coffee on the corner of Smith Road and Floral Avenue. There is street parking. Together we’ll wander the streets of Norwood and end a few blocks away from where we started at Factory 52.
Please Note: This is not a history walking tour of Norwood. When hiking, your guide will be pointing out some landmarks, but he’s not well-versed in Norwood history. We do welcome questions and conversations about places. So feel free to share anything you may know with the group along the way.
